AML-3

The AML-3 is one of the most versatile, multi-sensor oceanographic instruments currently available. Its unique modular design allows for rapid field-swapping of sensors to perfectly meet any project requirement, whether for hydrography, environmental monitoring, or scientific research.

The instrument’s endcap features three sensor ports for X2change™ interchangeable sensors. Because certain sensors (like Conductivity & Temperature (CT) or Sound Velocity & Temperature (SVT)) are dual-parameter, the AML-3 can directly measure up to four distinct parameters from the endcap. Additionally, the AML-3 calculates secondary parameters such as salinity and density.

• Modular Sensor Payload: Three interchangeable sensor ports allow you to change the instrument type (e.g., from CTD to SVP) in seconds without tools.

• Sensor Variety: Compatible with a large ecosystem of X2change™ sensors, including Sound Velocity, Conductivity & Temperature (CT), Pressure/Depth (P), Dissolved Oxygen, Turbidity, and various Fluorometers.

• High Accuracy: Sensors are calibrated against laboratory references to ensure precise data performance.

• Maximum Depth: Available in 500 m (Acetal housing) and 6000 m (Titanium housing) versions.

• Software: Uses the Sailfish software for configuration, data downloading, processing, and export.
